SILVER BU 1968 MEXICO 25 PESOS XIX OLYMPICS COIN W/BRONZE GOLD MEDAL. This is a combo coin & bronze medal w/gold inlay of Aztec calendar. This set was issued as the CORTESÍA DEL C. PRESIDENTE DE LA REPUBLICA MEXICANA, LIC.

The good news is that this set appears to be very rare as I have not seen anything like it online for over 10yrs of looking. I received this set from my father, who received it from a family friend who worked at the US Embassy in Mexico City. The bronze medal/placard weighs 136.3g and has a gold Aztec calendar mounted on it. The medal/placard has XXI CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL DE OFTALMOLOGIA - MEXICO 1970 embossed towards the bottom.

I cannot determine if the Aztec calendar is real gold or not as I have no way of testing it. The coin is the 1968 Mexican Commemorative of the XIX Olympiad in.

The bad news is that the lid of the case was heavily damaged at some point and has been removed. All that remains of the lid is the silk liner.
